That’s how baseball works, too. Carlos Rodón didn’t pitch all that badly, for most of his outing. He retired eight of the first 10 batters he faced, and the last two, and he was lifted early as much because the World Series is a high-stakes environment requiring special measures as because damage seemed imminent again. The problem: in between his strong start and those solid couple of batters to finish, he allowed a double, two home runs, and another double. The Dodgers, who are just lethal this way, rang the bell loud and hard.
Palmer established himself as one of baseball’s best pitchers over the next two decades, and he was a part of Baltimore’s World Series-winning teams in 1966, 1970 and 1983. He hurled a no-hitter against Oakland in 1969, and never gave up a grand slam despite pitching more than 3,900 innings.
Even though he’s in the lineup, it remains to be seen if Ohtani is at the full extent of his capabilities. But either way, the Dodgers are in a great position in this Series. Both games at Dodger Stadium came down to a bases-loaded situation, and they both ended with an L.A. victory. Now, the Dodgers are just two wins away from their second World Series title in the last five years and their first in a full season since 1988.
In all best-of-seven postseason series, teams taking a 3-0 lead have gone on to win the series 39 of 40 times (98%), including 31 sweeps. Just two teams down 3-0 have even forced a Game 7: the 2020 Astros, who lost to the Rays in the ALCS, and the 2004 Red Sox, who beat the Yankees in the ALCS. The last team to force a Game 5 when down 3-0 in a World Series was the Reds in 1970 against the Orioles.

The other concern here is that Star Wars Outlaws tries to include so many things — stealth, third-person shooting combat, vehicle racing, space combat, arcade-y minigames — that it can’t devote the necessary time to making any of them feel robust and complete. Exploring the open world made me wish I was playing Breath of the Wild or Skyrim. Every time I had to do combat, I wished I was playing Mass Effect instead. It’s not that the gameplay here is poorly designed, but that it’s very surface level.
Universal accessibility settings are one of my absolute favourite new design features in modern games and proved essential for smoothing out one of the most frustrating parts of this game, lockpicking.
The open world segments have a few breadcrumbs and intel here and there, but I do think the culmination of the open world design mastered by The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is evident here. Take a path towards your objective but if you get distracted and something catches your eye go for it!
