On any given day, I am a husband and father of five. I read obsessively and, occasionally, I write stories of varying length, quality, and metrical structure. Each player begins the game by selecting one of several available fantasy races that are created randomly. Each race is defined by two interlocking tiles, one giving a noun describing the race (e.g., “Elves”) and the other an adjective (e.g., “Flying”), describing an additional special ability or special scoring opportunity. Numbers printed on the tiles also show how many race tokens the player may draw when playing that race.
The forest ratmen were on the loose, overrunning the land and pushing out stout elves, heroic dwarves and berserk trolls wherever they found them. As the ratmen invaded region after region, other factions left this world, but not for long. They only retreated for a little while as they regrouped and then returned with fresh vigour but reduced strength. The battle was on and there wasn’t much room for everyone on the map. After all, it was a Small World by Days of Wonder.
A new day dawns on Azeroth. A day like every one before it, and every one after. A day of merciless struggle for the control of the World of Warcraft. Not only is this Small World territory far too tight for everyone, it also hosts the never-ending conflict between the factions of the Alliance and the Horde. Dawn has broken and the time has come to take your place on the front lines.

Strasburg became only the second pitcher in MLB history to record five wins over the course of the postseason, finishing with a 5-0 record and 47 strikeouts across 36.1 innings pitched.
To put it another way, Washington’s championship core quickly became less than championship-caliber. Rendon’s immediate free agent defection and Strasburg’s and Corbin’s decline removed a lot of impact from the roster. Almost every year we hear the team that wins the World Series has the potential to be a dynasty — it’s rarely true, but we hear it — because they have controllable impact talent. That wasn’t the case with the roster the Nationals ran out there in 2019. Age and free agency made it pretty clear their core wasn’t going to be together much longer.
